DIY: Robins Nest and Surprise Egg Rice Krispie Treats!

Rice Krispie Treats–a classic. This Easter, put a brand new turn upon a classical as well as think outside a square! Take a rise at these elementary recipes for Rice Krispie treats with a spring spin.

Rice Krispie Treat Bird’s Nest

1/4 teaspoon water
4 drops immature food coloring
1/2 crater flaked coconut
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 ten ounce pkg unchanging marshmallows
4 cups tiny marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
miniature marshmallows
assorted preserve beans
mini chocolate eggs

Directions

  • In tiny bowl stir together water as well as immature food coloring. Add coconut. Stir until coconut is tinted. Spread upon baking sheet to dry.
  • In vast saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows as well as stir until utterly melted. Remove from heat.
  • Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated.
  • Divide warm reduction in to sixteen2 1/2-inch muffin-pan cups coated with in progress spray.
  • Shape reduction in to individual cups. Cool. Remove from pans.

Finally, fill a cooled nests with coconut, marshmallows, preserve beans or chocolate eggs!

Rice Krispie Treat Eggs

12 Plastic snap-apart 3 x 2-in Easter eggs
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 package (10 oz., about 40) unchanging marshmallows
4 cups tiny marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1/2 crater M&M’s

Directions

  • Clean, then coat inside of plastic eggs with in progress spray. Set aside.
  • In vast saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows as well as stir until utterly melted. Remove from heat.
  • Add Rice Krispiescereal. Stir until well coated.
  • Using greased hands, firmly press 1/4 crater ofthe cerealmixture in to any plastic egg half. Use fingers to have hollow core in any half. Remove from molds. Place upon polish paper. Cool slightly.
  • Place about 6 M&M’S in a single half of any egg. Gently press dual halves of any egg together until they stick. Cool completely.
  • Decorate with one more M&M’S.

Both recipes will have kids clamoring to a kitchen to help!
